| The
future for Lower Lonsdale is looking very exciting. To quote a new resident
of Lower Lonsdale "it's like living in a charming small community
while having FULL access to a metropolis" sitting just a stone's
throw away. Lower Lonsdale has a proposed new look, lots of new homes planned, lots of new residents willing and ready to move in and real estate values that are on the rise. The pictures below are of a model of the above mentioned proposed development of the area bounded by the water to the south, 4th Street to the north, St. Georges Ave to the east and Chesterfield to the west. |

Here is a different perspective...a possible future view down Lonsdale Ave from around 3rd Street to the waterfront. The model at the top right hand corner of the picture to the left is of the existing ICBC building. |
| To
balance things out I thought a bird's eye view of this part of Lower Lonsdale
from the south west - over the ICBC building and Chadwick Court
(bottom left corner) - might be interesting, too. Point of interest: Chadwick Court used to have the most expensive penthouses in North Vancouver along with probably one of the best unobstructed views possible from North Vancouver. Currently, the most expensive penthouse sales have been in the upcoming Pier buildings. In the future, the Pier may have views equal to if not better than Chadwick Court. |
