  • Pemberton was already settled in the 1920's. Really a rear part of the flat shoreline, it was developed to house employees of the shipyards, that then lined the north edge of Burrard Inlet.

  •
  • Pemberton is a small area, aligned with the north side of Marine Drive, between the western edge of North Vancouver and McKay Avenue on its eastern side. Overlooked by the bluff of Pemberton Heights, the area is mostly flat up to its northern boundary on the Capilano River.

  •
  • Some  small “character” homes remain, most considerably altered since their beginning, with newer “in-fill” construction making up the rest of the residences. Of note, the Fullerton Development, a group of high-rises in the northwest corner of the Pemberton area.

  •
While no schools are located directly in the area, two elementary schools and one senior high school are nearby. The closest being Norgate Elementary.

  • Price Range: from $250,000 to $450,000

Shopping:

    5 minutes away:

Simply put, Pemberton is close to everything. Marine Drive is at most 3 blocks to the south, and connects to everywhere on the North Shore. Nearby is a large Save-On-Foods store, restaurants, and services. Mini-malls line Marine Drive.

Going west on Marine Drive immediately takes you to West Vancouver and the Park Royal Shopping Centre. Recently renovated, it is one of the largest shopping centres in the region.

A charming 'cottage', obviously well cared for, in the  Northeast part of the Pemberton area.
The Fullerton development, hidden away, in the northwest corner of the Pemberton area.
