- The
Hamilton area’s residential quarter is almost exclusively
located north of Marine Drive. It is one of the older areas of
North Vancouver. It's also a rather mixed area, zoning-wise.
- Some
of the most striking “character” homes still exist in the streets

views of downtown Vancouver.

the last few years, the southern portion of the Hamilton area has

Located in the heart of the area, Capilano
Mall offers two large department stores (Sears and Wal-Mart),
a Food Fair, a liquor store and numerous other small boutiques and
services.
Driving
west on Marine Drive, there is everything from Save-on-Foods,
a large food store, to intriguing, specialty boutiques.
Going
east, Marine Drive ends at the junction of Third
and Thirteenth Streets. Third Street leads to
Lower Lonsdale, the waterfront and Lonsdale Quay Market, while Thirteenth
takes you to the central part of Lonsdale Avenue and
all its specialty stores, banks and services.
