- The
Boulevard
was originally developed in the 1910's. It offered wide lots facing
a wide boulevard (which could also serve as a fire break) with a large
central garden space between the two sides of the roadway.
- This
plateaued area encompasses a number of heritage homes (early 1900s),
'character' homes and a multitude of bungalows. Many homes offer views
of the Burrard Inlet, the Mountains and Downtown Vancouver.
- Two
elementary schools and one senior high school are located there. Most
East to West streets are tree lined and quiet. The Boulevard itself,
properly called Grand Boulevard, sustains more traffic
on its East side than its West side.
- The
Boulevard is a quiet and family oriented part of the City of North
Vancouver, that has traditionally retained its real estate values.
Starter homes can occasionally be found, and many older homes have
been restored and improved.
- Price
Range: from $699,000 to
$1,799,000 with a median list price of approx. $997,000
